1.Crealy Adventure Park and resort – Fun for the whole Family
Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park is an award winning family attraction located just minutes from junction 30 of the M5 near Exeter. The Park has over 60 rides and attractions set in over 100 acres of glorious Devon countryside. There are over 100 animals, 30 outdoor attractions and a variety of other activities to choose from. Suitable for all ages.

2. LEGOLAND Windsor Resort – Excitement, Imagination and the WOW Factor
Have a lego adventure at LEGOLAND this Summer, with over 55 rides and attractions for children. Built of over 55 Million LEGO bricks. The LEGOLAND park has lots to offer for families with children between the ages of 3 and 12 looking for adventure – enough for several days of fun and action. The LEGOLAND experience continues even after park closing time in the awesome LEGOLAND Hotel, where visitors can spend the night in our fully themed bedrooms.

3. Woodlands – Adventurer’s Paradise
Get outside and enjoy Woodlands, Situated in Dartmouth in Devon this family theme park is amazing and features enough attractions to keep the monkeys busy for the whole day.
Set in beautiful countryside, the 90 acre adventure park in Devon, has big family rides, awesome indoor play centres with rides and cafes, plus a wide range of family attractions in 10 themed play zones. Small children’s attractions are in exclusive play zones, discover two soft play centres for the smaller children and don’t forget to watch the birds of prey show.

Time – 54 minutes by car and around 1 hour by train.

4. Alton Towers Resort – Non stop fun for EVERYONE!
Alton Towers is situated in Stafford-shire it’s a great attraction for all the family. This park was used to be more aimed at the ages range 13 years upwards but since then they have introduced their very successful Cbeebies Land which features rides from all of the most famous shows such as the Octonauts, Mr Tumble and many more. I would make sure you leave plenty of time and to get around all of the attractions. The rides here will leave you with a BUZZ of ADRENALINE.

Time – 4 hours by car.

5. Paultons Family Theme Park – Brilliantly located and full of OINK!
Paultons Park is the home of the very well known and well loved Peppa Pig! The location of this park is why it has been proved so popular. It is situated within 140 acres of beautiful parkland and on the edge of the New Forest National Park. Within the park they have managed to cram in, rides, Peppa Pig World, Lost Kingdom, If you not riding on the amazing rides, you could be chilling out on the train, having a picnic, meeting Peppa & George or even There is plenty to do but that is reflected in the prices.
Distance – 115 Miles from Exeter
Time – 3 Hours by train and 2 hours 30 mins by car.

6. The Milky Way Adventure Park – Personal and Pretty.
The Milky way is a hidden gem in North Devon. I have been there myself and I was very impressed by not only the value for money but the staff are extremely friendly. There is a separate part of the park which is targeted at just babies including a sensory room but also they do have some larger roller coasters outside for the older children. Milky way won the Travellers Choice awards in in 2015 on TripAdvisor. I would personally recommend this park for children up to 13 years of age.

Time – 1.5 hours from Exeter by car

7. Thorpe Park – Terrifying and Frightfully Fun
Thorpe Park is a brilliant theme park and aimed at Adults and children over the height of 1 meter. The rides at this park will have you wetting yourself with fear and excitement all at the same time. They feature rides such as now the extremely well known and talked about “Derren Brown’s Ghost Train”, I’m a celebrity Maze, Stealth, The Swarm and Nemesis Inferno. Unusually they do even have a beach called “Amity Beach”. Definitely give this ago if you’re trying to tear away you teenagers from the gadgets and gizmos and get them into the daylight.

Time – 3 Hours by car, 1 hour by plane and 3 hours 25 minutes by train.

8. Drayton Manor – Classic & Brilliant
A classic theme park, definitely suitable for all ages. Situated near Tamworth in Staffordshire. This park features Thomas Land for the younger children and thrilling rides such as “Shockwave” Europe’s first stand up roller and Apocalypse once voted Britain’s scariest ride.

Time – 3 Hours by car

9. Chessington World of Adventures – The perfect mashup of wildlife and rides
Chessington includes the new “Go Ape” a sea life centre, a Theme park and even a Zoo. There is tons to do here at Chessington. Located in Leatherhead. The rides and attractions are full of variety and there are plenty of restaurants and bars onsite.
Distance – 170 Miles from Exeter
Time – 3 hours 15 minutes by car.

10. Pennywell Farm – Full of fluffy cuteness.
An adorable day out for all the family suitable for children of all ages and might even make the teenagers crack a smile when they take part in activities such as Goat Milking, Bottle Feeding the orphan lamps, Ferret Racing, Pony Pampering, Pig Racing and Deer feeding. There is so much to do for families who wish to take a trip to the countryside and enjoy nature. Located between Plymouth and Exeter.

Time – 35 minutes by car
